Why is Impact Important?

That's the most common word I've been hearing lately on calls with high-performers who are looking for career change.
It's not like their work doesn't have any impact.
They actually feel like it's not tangible, not visible ... not enough.
So why is impact important?
Impact gives us meaning in our work, it makes us feel like we're making a difference in the world around us.
Ideally, it's the legacy we want to leave behind.
If our impact at work is meaningful to us, then it's not just work that we show up to, it's a mission that we have.
So if you're looking to make a career shift soon, start by asking: 'What's the impact that I want to have?'
There are many types of impacts, here are a few examples:
Some want to build communities.
Some want to create meaningful experiences.
Some want to save lives.
Some want to empower and grow others.
Some want to entertain.
And there are much more!
My impact, for example, is to empower others.
That's why I do what I do today.
My work gives me meaning and purpose.
I feel so fulfilled, every single day.
And I want all of you to have that feeling, it's beautiful...
